Ex-Nottingham Forest owner Fawaz Al-Hawasi stabbed fighting off masked raiders from £10m Mayfair mansion
Millionaire businessman Fawaz Al-Hawasi was pictured in bandages after being knifed as masked raiders burst into his Mayfair home.
The Kuwaiti businessman, 57, was reportedly in bed when the burglars forced entry into his mansion in an attempt to rob the former owner of Nottingham Forest.
Trying to defend himself after the gang broke into his bedroom he was knifed in the hand and suffered a neck injury aswell as scratches.
It is unclear whether they escaped with any jewellery or the luxury watches that Al-Hawasi flashes on social media.
His lawyers urged the Met Police to give more details around the suspects claiming that other visitors from the Arabian Gulf ‘fear facing similar incidents’.
Police said the ex-football mogul’s injuries were not life-threatening or life-changing and inquiries were continuing.
Al-Hasawi’s sister, Khawla Mubarak Al-Hasawi posted on X: ‘Fawaz is fine, by God’s grace.
‘May God protet him from all harm and bless him with the safety of his son, Abdulaziz.
Al-Haswi bought Forest in 2012 and sold the club to current owner Evangelos Marinakis in 2017 after burning through nine different managers in just five years.
It came just weeks after superstar couple Maya Jama and Manchester City defender Ruben Dias were targetted by ‘away day burlars’ at their £4million mansion in Cheshire.
Both were away on the night of the ransack, with footballer Ruben, 28, playing an away game against Galatasaray and Maya, 31, in South Africa to film Love Island: All Stars.
