Qatar Offers Condolences to Families of Kapisa Province Landslide Victims

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar said in a statement on Saturday evening that it extended condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

Officials also announced readiness to cooperate with humanitarian organizations to deliver assistance to communities affected by the disaster.

The landslide in Kapisa Province killed at least four people and injured six others after part of a mountain collapsed onto residential areas.

The disaster comes as many communities across Afghanistan struggle with heavy winter conditions that have worsened living conditions and humanitarian needs.

Local residents say vulnerable villages remain exposed to natural disasters, especially during winter months when snow and rainfall increase landslide risks.

Aid groups warn that severe weather, displacement, and economic hardship have left many families without adequate shelter, food, or medical support.
