William’s Exact Salary Revealed After Report ‘Money’ Is the Real Reason the Heir Will ‘Never Forgive’ Harry After His Brother ‘Crossed the Line’
Prince William made quite a lot of money in 2025. The heir’s Duchy of Cornwall estate earnings have been revealed, and it has certain members of the royal family angry.
William inherited the Duchy of Cornwall title and estate in 2022 when his father became King. The estate, which is worth more than $1 billion, was founded in 1337 by King Edward III to cover the expenses of the oldest son of the British monarch.
What was Prince William’s salary in 2025?
According to the Duchy of Cornwall estate’s Integrated Annual Report, the Prince and Princess of Wales made $30.9 million (or £22.9 million) for the 2024-2025 fiscal year. This income covers the public, private, and charitable expenses for William, Kate, and their three children, George, Charlotte, and Louis.
Secretary and Keeper of the Records, Will Bax, noted that this year proved “strong financial performance” for the estate.
“We have continued to balance our social objectives with driving strong commercial outcomes,” he revealed. “While marginally down year on year, our net surplus, which is passed to HRH The Duke of Cornwall to support his official and charitable work, has remained resilient in the face of continued economic uncertainty.”
The report also indicates that William “does not have access to the Duchy’s capital value” and is taxed on the annual revenue surplus he receives from the estate.

However, the report isn’t necessarily boding well with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. “From where Harry and Meghan are sitting, the imbalance is glaring,” the insider noted. “Any time they secure a major commercial deal, the reaction is swift and hostile, with accusations that they are exploiting their royal status…”
It comes after reports that William’s main reason for “never forgiving Harry” is because he used Kate Middleton for financial gain in his 2022 memoir Spare. “Each time Harry has gone public, particularly when Catherine was drawn in, it’s pushed him further from William. For William, criticism of his wife crosses a line, which is why forgiving him seems out of reach,” an insider told RadarOnline.
Royal biographer Ingrid Seward said, “He rubbished Kate for money he didn’t even need – that will not be easily forgiven.”
Another source previously told the site that William’s still livid that his brother is using his stories to exploit the family name. “William is livid that Harry continues to profit from the royal family, both now and in the future, despite having walked away and publicly criticized them,” the insider said. “He believes that loyalty and duty must carry weight, otherwise the entire system begins to crumble.”
On Harry’s front, the Duke of Sussex is reportedly getting $50,000 for a DC speech appearance at a tech summit. It’s a large departure from when Harry and his wife declared “financial independence” in the States when they left their royal duties. Initially, the prince was charging a whopping $1 million for speech appearances.
“This is a massive discount,” an insider told RadarOnline about the duke’s new going rate. “The Sussex brand simply doesn’t carry the same weight anymore.”
