CTS Boss Bokosi Hails Mutharika’s Bold Plan to Empower Women and Youth
Jacqueline Bokosi, Managing Director of CTS Funeral and Courier Services, has praised President Peter Mutharika for prioritising women and youth in his State of the Nation Address (SONA), calling the initiatives “a game-changer” for vulnerable communities.
President Mutharika announced that, starting from the 2026/27 financial year, every constituency will receive MK100 million in soft loans for youth and another MK100 million for women to boost entrepreneurship and economic growth.
He also promised to revive community colleges, resume construction of abandoned institutions, expand the Graduate Internship Programme, and provide MK250 million in grants to persons with disabilities. The government will fully support the National Children’s Commission to protect children’s rights and welfare.
Bokosi said these measures could transform the lives of those often left behind in the economic ladder.
“These initiatives, if implemented effectively, will empower young people and women to start businesses, create jobs, and improve livelihoods,” she said, urging beneficiaries to use the funds responsibly.
