Not great but there are waves
Hello Friends,
As of 0700 Friday morning, the MHL buoy was registering 2.2 metres of 11.8-second SSE swell. It had peaked at 3 metres at 1700 yesterday afternoon when the SSE wind was 20-30 kts. At 0900 today, the wind was SSW at 6-11 kts on the mid-tide as it dropped to the 0.8m low at 1315. By 0930 the breeze was SSE. It’ll be SE and 10-15 kts soon. Conditions were lumpy and sloppy looking at Dee Why but there were a few stalwarts bobbing around hopefully. And if you were equipped properly, the odd little knee-high rock runner was available at the point. Size up the beach looked to be more in the chest plus range.
The swell’s expected to continue its fade and be 1-1.5 metres by tomorrow.
As for the week ahead, well, if you haven’t checked already, have a look at what the Goat’s got to say.
Go well everybody!
