Lawmaker, lieutenant governor candidate calls for review of Texas' ICE cooperation

Vikki Goodwin, D-Austin has raised concerns about U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s tactics – including home searches, detentions of U.S. citizens and deportations – and called on Wednesday for a legislative review Texas’ cooperation with ICE and a state mandate that certain local law enforcement partner with the agency through so-called 287(g) agreements.
