Odisha Human Rights Commission orders Rs 10L compensation to kin of deceased cop aspirant
The Odisha Human Rights Commission has ordered a compensation of Rs 10 lakh for the family of Harekrishna Sahu. He died in 2017 during a state-conducted police recruitment physical endurance test. The commission found the state government strictly liable. It also recommended compassionate employment for the deceased's sister. Future recruitments will mandate medical screening and emergency preparedness.
