White Pablo with rider Nico Helta
Affectionately called ‘Ratsch’, he is one of the most successful German endurance horses. Since 2011, when he came to the then 12-year-old Nico Helta, the two have enjoyed an exceptionally close partnership. What began as a childhood dream has developed into a success story characterised by trust, respect and tireless dedication.
Despite his compact height of only 144 cm, ‘Ratsch’ impresses with his remarkable endurance, mental strength and extraordinary work ethic. Over many years, he proved his consistency on the national and international stage and became a household name in German and European endurance sports.
His story is particularly emotional: after a serious accident in 2013, in which he broke a leg after crashing with a deer, it was unclear for a long time whether he would ever return to the sport. But ‘Ratsch’ fought his way back. The breakthrough came in 2018 -on Nico’s birthdays -with the title of German Youth Champion. This moment marked the beginning of an extraordinary career.
White Pablo became German champion over 160 km with a time of 9:41:11.
White Pablo also achieved top rankings internationally, including podium successes at CEI races in Samorin and strong performances in Ermelo and Zutendaal. Together with the German team, he won the team bronze medal at the European Championships in 2023.
White Pablo impresses not only with his results, but above all with his heart. His incredible endurance, honesty and fighting spirit make him an exceptional athlete. For over a decade, he has stood for consistency, loyalty and the special relationship between horse and rider.
