Jamie O’Hara warns Tottenham that Thomas Frank sacking is just 50% of the problem
Jamie O’Hara has responded to Tottenham Hotspur’s decision to get rid of Thomas Frank following the club’s defeat to Newcastle United.
The Spurs hierarchy’s decision to call time on Frank’s spell in N17 has not come as a major surprise, given that the Lilywhites are now winless in their last eight Premier League matches.
Tottenham slipped to 16th in the table after their 2-1 loss at home to Newcastle United, with the defeat proving one too many for the Dane to survive.

Frank leaves Spurs with the worst record of any permanent manager of a ‘big six’ side in Premier League history, but one pundit has warned that there is still work to be done at N17.
Jamie O’Hara says Thomas Frank was only half of Tottenham’s problem
O’Hara was in support of the club’s decision to get rid of the 52-year-old, who he suggested was ‘out of his depth’.
However, the pundit warned that the North London club’s big challenge now is to get the right man in who can get a tune out of the squad, which has been lacking in fight.
The former Spurs midfielder wrote on X: “Frank gone, out of his depth had to be done, BUT that’s half the problem we have to get someone in to get a kick out of this squad and these players need to take a long hard look at themselves and decide whether there up for a fight, standards are shocking, has to be miles better.”
Will Spurs turn to an interim appointment?
It has been suggested by some sources that John Heitinga could be installed as Tottenham’s interim head coach until the end of the season.
That would help the Lilywhites in one way, as Spurs’ top managerial targets, Andoni Iraola, Mauricio Pochettino and Oliver Glasner, are not likely to be available until the summer.
However, the North Londoners are now just five points clear of the relegation zone, and they will be aware that a wrong move here could cost them dearly.
