Four-star forward Lincoln Cosby commits to Michigan
By JAMES MADDEN
Class of 2026 four-star wing Lincoln Cosby has announced his commitment to Michigan, sources confirmed to ZAGSBLOG.
Cosby was originally a Top-10 recruit in the Class of 2027 before making the decision to reclassify to the Class of 2026. The 6-foot-10 wing from Montverde Academy (FL) chose the Wolverines over schools like Houston, Alabama and Louisville, among others.
Cosby, originally from the Cincinnati area, spent his summer playing for 444 Athletics on the Puma Pro16 circuit. He was asked about his decision to commit to the Wolverines and head to Ann Arbor next season.
“How they utilize their big, skilled forwards with versatility … I felt like I saw myself playing and producing in that type of system,” Cosby told ESPN.
Prior to enrolling at Montverde, Cosby spent some time with the Overtime Elite program, where he averaged 15.6 points, 11.6 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 1.7 blocks per game last season.
He is the fifth member of Michigan’s recruiting class under head coach Dusty May. Cosby joins four-star Quinn Costello, four-star Joseph Hartman, three-star Malachi Brown and Spanish center Marcus Moller.
Since becoming a member of the Class of 2026, he is ranked as a four-star recruit and No. 45 overall prospect in his recruiting class, according to 247Sports.
