Emma Roberts to Star in Horror Movie 'A Body in the Woods' from 'Longlegs' Producer

Emma Roberts will star in a new horror movie!

The 35-year-old actress has been cast in A Body in the Woods, which hails from Longlegs and The Monkey producer Dave Caplan, reports Deadline.

According to the outlet, Emma will play a character named Alice Lincoln, “a woman at the turn of the century living deep in the Marshall Woods, a place long-plagued by legends of a menacing witch.”

“When Alice is left alone at her remote cabin to keep vigil over the body of an unidentified mine worker, unsettling disturbances in the dark lead Alice to fear the corpse may not be fully at rest. The appearance of a silent woman at the edge of the forest road traps Alice in a waking nightmare between the growing evil within and the nameless terror waiting beyond her door.”

Emma has quite the horror pedigree already, having starred in American Horror Story, Scream Queens, and Scream 4.

She also starred in The Blackcoat’s Daughter, a film from director and writer Osgood Perkins, the same guy who gave us Longlegs and The Monkey.

Hell House franchise creator Stephen Cognetti will write and direct the film. Production will start in September.
