Nancy Guthrie Update: TMZ Reports Bitcoin Account in Ransom Note Just Had Activity
TMZ is reporting a new update about the Nancy Guthrie case, in regards to the Bitcoin account listed in the ransom note.
If you didn’t know already, TMZ was one of the news outlets that received a ransom note from the alleged kidnapper who abducted Today host Savannah Guthrie‘s mother.
Because they have access to the note, TMZ has been able to monitor the Bitcoin account that the kidnapper listed and the outlet reports that there has been activity in the account for the first time.

TMZ reported at 4:34pm PT that there was activity “in the last 25 minutes.”
“We’ve seen activity for the first time in the Bitcoin account listed in the first ransom note which was sent to us here at TMZ, and also to 2 TV stations in Tucson. For various reasons, we are not going to reveal the amount,” the outlet reported.
News Nation correspondent Brian Entin, who is on the scene, reports the local media has learned that less than $300 was placed into the Bitcoin account.

It has been reported that the ransom note demanded $6 million and that the deadline past without any payment. It’s unclear what is happening right now though.
Investigators think they know where the kidnapper is from and we’ve also seen the first photos of the suspect.
