Sheriff Scolds Media After Pizza Delivery Driver Makes it to Nancy Guthrie Crime Scene
The Pima County Sheriff's office is scolding the media after a pizza delivery driver made it to the Nancy Guthrie home, which is a crime scene.
"We can’t believe we have to say this, but media on scene: please do not order food delivery to a crime scene address. This interferes with an active investigation. Please also respect private property laws. Thank you," the Sheriff's Office wrote on X on February 10.
But it turned out that a viewer, not a member of the news media, ordered the pizza.
Some people responded by criticizing law enforcement for not securing the crime scene enough to prevent a pizza delivery guy from making it through. The man "was able to make it all the way up to Guthrie’s door without deputies noticing, shocking those at the scene," News Nation reported. "The driver then called the person who made the order in front of the media. The pizza had been ordered for a YouTuber who was present by one of his viewers."

ABC 15 journalist Ford Hatchett posted a video showing the delivery guy casually strolling through the area around Guthrie's house.
"Never seen something quite like this," he wrote on X. "A Domino’s delivery driver just walked all the way up to Nancy Guthrie’s front door trying to deliver a pizza. Walking out now. Believe it was intended for someone in the media along the street."
News Nation correspondent Brian Entin also took note of the delivery driver. "A pizza delivery man just showed up to Nancy Guthrie’s house and was able to walk up to the front door without the deputies out front noticing," he wrote.
The New York Times reported that the pizza guy was from Domino's, and cookies were also delivered to the Guthrie scene.
"A Domino’s pizza was delivered for a YouTuber live-streaming the scene. The driver, who did not know the address was Guthrie’s, took the pizza to the front door. Cookies were also delivered," the Times explained.
