Here's The Exciting Reason Why James Bond is Trending on Netflix
2021's No Time To Die has snuck into Netflix's Top 10 most watched movies globally, with over 4.4 million views this week alone.
The film is currently Netflix's eighth-most watched movie overall and the second-most watched action movie following The Rip. The resurgence of James Bond's streaming success comes after a major deal was struck between Netflix and Amazon MGM several weeks ago.
Amazon Agreed To Bring All James Bond Movies To Netflix
In December 2025, an agreement was struck between Amazon MGM and Netflix for the entirety of the James Bond catalogue to be available to stream with a Netflix subscription for a limited time of three months. (via Variety)
This means classic films such as Dr. No and Moonraker, alongside newer additions like Casino Royale and Skyfalll, can all be streamed in the same place for the first time in years. The agreement was reportedly made to build interest in the franchise ahead of the next installment, which is currently in the early stages of being written.
Amazon typically houses the James Bond catalogue on Prime Video, but all 25 movies are rarely available to stream at the same time due to licensing disputes and increasing costs.
Speaking last December, Amazon MGM's Chris Ottinger claimed the decision "reflects the continued global appetite for premium storytelling and the strong working relationship we’ve built with Netflix.”
Now, it's clear that Amazon's decision has paid off. Netflix has been leading the streaming landscape for several years, and No Time To Die is getting much more exposure on Netflix's Top 10 than it ever would have on Prime Video. Having all the films in one place has clearly made it much easier for new fans to discover the franchise, as well as bringing returning fans back to rewatch their favorites.
