Jon Heyman of the NY Post announced that Marcell Ozuna signed a one-year, $12 million contract with the Pirates.
The Boston Red Sox acquired third baseman Caleb Durbin in a trade with the Milwaukee Brewers, per Jeff Passan of ESPN. Mark Feinsand of MLB Network announced the full details of the trade, where the Red Sox got Caleb Durbin, Andruw Monasterio, Anthony Siegler and a competitive Balance Round B pick. The Brewers received Kyle Harrison, Shane Drohan and David Hamilton.
Aaron Gleeman of the Athletic reported that the Twins signed Gio Urshela to a minor league deal. Urshela initially joined the Twins from the Yankees in the Josh Donaldson trade and was their primary third baseman in 2022.
Jon Heyman of the NY Post reported that Nick Martinez signed with the Tampa Bay Rays.
Chris Paddack signed a $4 million contract with $500k in incentives, per Jon Heyman of the NY Post.
Jeff Passan of ESPN announced that several trades had been finalized ahead of the official start of spring training. Among those, Passan reporrted that Erick Fedde signed with the White Sox.

Ex-Rays CF and four-time Gold Glove winner Kevin Kiermaier has been hired by Tampa Bay as a consultant, focusing on outfield, per Ryan Bass of Rays Baseball. Kiermaier was a special assistant for the Blue Jays last year after retiring in 2024.
