Freebie of the week: Culver City’s Wende Museum opens new community center
The interesting (and free) Wende Museum in Culver City — opened in 2002 to explore the legacy of the Cold War in Eastern Europe and the Soviet Union — has opened a new space that offers even more free activities. Check out the Glorya Kaufman Community Center at the Wende Museum, which offers numerous free activities that are worth exploring.

- Fri. Feb. 13: Community flow yoga class at 10:30 a.m.
- Sun. Feb. 15: A Lunar New Year Community Celebration with the traditional elements, will run from 12:30 until 5 p.m. Also, at 10:30 a.m., there are Samizdat Sundays textile workshops, where you bring old fabric items and repurpose them. The Feb. 15 workshop is making a small wearable document pouch.
- Wed. Feb. 18. Wellness Wednesday mindfulness meditation will take place in the theater at 9 a.m.
