OHRC recommends probe into lapses in Satkosia relocation
The Odisha Human Rights Commission has ordered a high-level inquiry into the large-scale irregularities in the relocation of villages from Satkosia Tiger Reserve. The commission cited violations of Gram Sabha consent, forest rights, and arbitrary exclusion of beneficiaries, recommending action against officials and differential compensation for affected families.
