Ella Langley Scores First No. 1 Hot 100 Hit With 'Choosin Texas'
Ella Langley just made music history!
Her song “Choosin’ Texas,” which she wrote with Grammy-winning icon Miranda Lambert, and JoyBeth Taylor and Luke Dick, claimed the No. 1 spot on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100, her first No. 1 hit, per Billboard.
But that’s not all! With her latest achievement, she has become the first woman to have her song top Billboard’s Hot 100, Country Airplay, and Hot Country Song charts at the same time!
The only other songs that have done that before were Morgan Wallen‘s “Last Night,” Post Malone’s “I Had Some Help” (feat. Morgan Wallen), and Shaboozey’s “Tipsy (A Bar Song).”
Ella reacted to this impressive feat on her Instagram.
“We did it!! Choosin’ Texas is the #1 song on the @billboard #Hot100 ???????? I can’t thank y’all enough for what you’ve done with this song, it blows my mind every single day. Here’s to women & country music ♥️” she wrote in the caption.
“Choosin’ Texas” is the lead single from the 26-year-old singer’s upcoming album Dandelion, releasing on April 10.
