Lindsey Vonn Returns to Social Media After Terrifying Winter Olympics 2026 Crash
Lindsey Vonn is speaking out for the first time after her terrifying crash.
The 41-year-old Olympian was unfortunately involved in a horrible accident on the ski slope while competing on Sunday (February 8) in the 2026 Winter Olympics. She ended up crashing and needed a helicopter to come assist. She then was “treated by a multidisciplinary team” and “underwent an orthopedic operation to stabilize a fracture reported in her left leg.”
The day after the crash and surgery, Lindsey took to X to share her first message.
Keep reading to find out more…On Monday (February 9), Journalist Dan Walker posted a tweet praising Lindsey‘s attitude as “the very essence of sport” after “competing in Italy at the age of 41 with an injured ACL.”
After seeing Dan‘s kind words, Lindsey responded by writing, “Thank you Dan” alongside the prayer hand emoji.
