NHRC Issues Notice to Jharkhand Govt Over 14 Migrant Workers Stranded in Dubai
The National Human Rights Commission has issued a notice to the Jharkhand government after reports emerged of at least 14 migrant workers from the state being stranded in Dubai. The workers, employed for transmission line work, allegedly had their passports seized and wages withheld, leaving them unable to return home or afford basic necessities.
