Stefon Diggs May Have Lost More Than the Super Bowl as Cardi B Breakup Rumors Swirl
Super Bowl Sunday was a rough night for New England Patriots’ wide receiver Stefon Diggs. Not only did his team lose 29-13 to the Seattle Seahawks during Super Bowl LX, but also, there seems to be trouble in paradise with his girlfriend, Cardi B.
The couple, who share a baby boy born in Nov. 2025, sparked breakup rumors after the Super Bowl when Cardi B left the game after she appeared in Bad Bunny’s halftime show — not staying to watch her man play. She posted a video on her Instagram Story of herself in the car listening to Bad Bunny.
“First time I ever listen to @badbunnypr was this song … I was in love wit this verse…,” she wrote. “CONGRATS BAD BUNNY.”
She notably didn’t post any messages of support for Diggs. The “WAP” rapper and NFL player also unfollowed each other on social media, per Page Six.
Cardi B was also short in an interview with ESPN on Saturday, when reporters asked if she had an inspiring message for Diggs ahead of Sunday’s game. She curtly answered, “good luck,” then turned on her heel and walked away.

This is very different from her reaction to Diggs’ winning the AFC Championship game on Jan. 26. In a video posted by the NFL at the time, Cardi B cheered and said, “We’re going to the Super Bowl!” from the field as she joined other family and friends celebrating the team.
In a Feb. 2 interview with reporters, Diggs was asked whether he would propose to Cardi B after the Super Bowl. “It’s on the agenda, maybe, right? Right?” he replied, per PEOPLE. “I gotta get mine first.”
Although we don’t know the details of why these two seemingly split right before the Super Bowl, fans were not happy. People flooded the comments of Diggs’ latest Instagram post about the breakup.
“So no ring for neither one of yall? ????” one person commented. Another wrote, “So you f—ed up with cardi huh? And you lost because of that. Good job.”
“Aha that’s what you get!!!! ???????????????????? You shouldn’t have played with Cardi ????????????????????????” someone else wrote.
Diggs hasn’t addressed the comments or rumors, and the comments on the post have since been turned off. We’ll just have to wait and see if Diggs or Cardi B makes an official breakup announcement.
