HC concerned over patients’ attendants sleeping on pavements inside SCB
Orissa High Court expressed deep concern over patients' relatives forced to sleep on roadsides at SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack, due to insufficient night shelter. The court directed civic authorities to regulate food distribution by NGOs, which contributes to congestion, and ordered surprise late-evening hospital visits by an Advocates Committee to submit recommendations.
