Economy, foreign policy top Japan PM’s to do list after landslide election win
Japan's Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi's conservatives won a historic landslide with a projected two-thirds majority in the country's elections Sunday. If confirmed, the outcome puts Japan's first female premier in a powerful position to stamp her mark on the country of 123 million people over the next four years. Her priorities will likely be the country's economy and foreign policy, where she will have to balance being a close ally of the US with Japan's relations with China, says France 24 correspondent Gavin Blair.
