Are any other Tottenham players close to a suspension after Cristian Romero?
We take a closer look at Tottenham Hotspur’s squad yellow card tally to analyse if Thomas Frank has to worry about losing another one of his players to a suspension anytime soon.
Romero got his second red card of the season at Old Trafford, paving the way for Tottenham to fall to a 2-0 defeat against Man United.
That means that the Spurs captain is now suspended for four games for his reckless decision, with the Lilywhites needing to manage without the Argentine against Newcastle, Arsenal, Fulham and Crystal Palace.

With Tottenham’s injury list being extremely bloated at the moment, the last thing that Frank would want is to see any more of his players suspended.
Are any other Tottenham players in danger of suspension?
Premier League’s rules state that players who accumulate double-digit bookings on or before the 32nd league fixture have to serve a two-match suspension.
Apart from Romero, the two Spurs players with the most yellow cards this season are Joao Palhinha and Micky van de Ven, who both have six bookings each.
That means that the pair have to avoid getting four bookings within the next seven league games to avoid being ruled out for two matches.
Cristian Romero could be hit with another suspension when he returns
Romero is ruled out until matchweek 29 of the Premier League, but he is in danger of being suspended for two more matches when he returns.
This is because the Argentine has accumulated eight yellow cards this season to go with his two red cards.
That means that if he receives more than one yellow card in the three matches against Liverpool, Nottingham Forest and Sunderland, he will have to sit out two more matches.
