Seattle Seahawks Beat New England Patriots to Win Super Bowl 2026
The Seattle Seahawks beat the New England Patriots to win the Super Bowl on Sunday, capturing the title for the second time in the team’s history.
The Seahawks were the clear favorites going into the game and never looked in danger as they cruised to a 29-13 victory at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.

The Seahawks last won the Super Bowl, the franchise’s first, in 2014 when they defeated the Denver Broncos 43-8 in Super Bowl 48.
In this Super Bowl 60, Kenneth Walker III was crowned MVP, becoming the first running back to win the title since Terrell Davis for the Broncos 28 years ago. Walker rushed for 135 yards, one of the standout offensive performances in the game.
“It’s just a dream come true because a lot of people play their whole career and never make it this far,” Walker said after the game. “We went through adversity throughout the season, but we stayed together. You know that adversity showed who we were as a team. We got a brotherhood going on right now, and it’s special.”
Kicker Jason Myers also drilled a record five field goals, one of the most memorable kicking performances in Super Bowl history.
“We never waver, man. We believe in each other. We love each other, and now we’re world champions,” coach Mike Macdonald said.
In yet another historic-first, the halftime show was performed mostly in Spanish, led by the stage’s first Latin solo headliner: Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny. The winner of three 2026 Grammy Awards made headlines last week for calling out the Trump Administration’s aggressive immigration crackdown. His Super Bowl performance was expectedly replete with political imagery, including climbing an electricity pole in reference to the devastated infrastructure and frequent blackouts of Puerto Rico in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria. Lady Gaga also made a surprise appearance to perform a version of “Die With a Smile.”

Amid social media buzz over Bad Bunny’s performance, President Donald Trump appeared incensed, calling the halftime show “an affront to the Greatness of America.” Trump became the first sitting President to attend a Super Bowl last year but did not attend this year’s game.
“God Bless America,” Bad Bunny said in English at the end of the set, before listing countries and places in the Americas. “And my motherland, mi patria, Puerto Rico, seguimos aquí,” meaning “my homeland, Puerto Rico, we are still here.”
