"I will stand in the starting gate tomorrow and know I am strong. Know that I believe in myself. And usually, when the odds are stacked against me the most, I pull the best of what’s inside me out," she said."
"I will race tomorrow in my final Olympic Downhill and while I can’t guarantee a good result, I can guarantee I will give it everything I have. But no matter what happens, I have already won."

American Breezy Johnson Wins Gold
30-year-old American Breezy Johnson won the gold medal with a time of 1:36.10, becoming just the second American to win the event - joining Vonn who won in 2010. She also knows what's it's like to have an Olympic dream come to a crashing end after suffering a knee injury in a pair of crashes before the 2022 Winter Games in Beijing.
"I do know what it is to be here, to be fighting for the Olympics, and to have this course burn you, and to watch, for me, those dreams die," Johnson told reporters after the race. "It was one of the most heart-breaking moments of my life, and I can't imagine the pain she's going through."
