What Ivanka Trump Really Thinks of Melania's Documentary After Reports They 'Barely Speak'
Things are getting more icy between Melania Trump and her stepdaughter, Ivanka. New reports from celebrity gossiper Rob Shuter reveal that the two don’t have a relationship behind closed doors.
“There’s no bond there at all,” one insider disclosed to his Naughty But Nice Subtack. “They don’t confide, they don’t check in, and they certainly don’t cheer each other on.”
“They barely speak,” another source told Shuter. “When they do, it’s functional, short, and usually unavoidable.”
The tensions between the two have caused Ivanka to not watch Melania’s anticipated self-titled documentary. “Ivanka has not seen the movie and has zero intention of seeing it,” a source disclosed. “That decision was very deliberate.”
The same could be said if Ivanka had her own documentary as well. “There’s no interest in each other’s lives,” a confidant explains. “Different worlds, different priorities, zero emotional overlap.” And they don’t mind if this feud continues for a lifetime. “They’re not allies. They’re not friends. They’re not close,” a source sums up. “And they’re perfectly fine keeping it that way.”
Ivanka does not have any kind of appearance in the film, and according to sources, it’s intentional. “There’s real tension, and Melania made it clear she didn’t want Ivanka anywhere near this film.”
The feud heightened during Donald Trump’s first term when Ivanka asserted herself as a de facto first lady in Washington, D.C. while Melania stayed in New York City as Barron finished school.
According to a NewsNation source, the first lady felt “overshadowed” by Ivanka in 2019 when they visited the U.K. “That wasn’t going to happen again,” the insider shared. “Melania is much more in power and control than she was in the first presidency and didn’t want Ivanka coming to this meeting.”
