Which New Movie Trailers Will Be Missing From Super Bowl LX?
The Super Bowl is always the biggest night of the year for new movie trailers, but multiple studios have already confirmed that they won't be releasing any new footage during the expensive halftime slot.
This year, THR reports that a 30-second slot during the Super Bowl broadcast will cost studios at least $8 million, making it the most expensive moment all year to debut a new trailer. Late additions to the lineup will cost upwards of $10 million.
Variety reports that audiences should expect trailers for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, Disclosure Day, Minions 3, and The Mandalorian & Grogu, among several others. There are also plenty of movies that have neither confirmed nor denied their involvement, including Toy Story 5 and Scream 7.
Which Trailers Are Not Coming to The Super Bowl?
Although studios aren't obliged to disclose which movies they will be releasing trailers for during the Super Bowl, it's typically common knowledge within the industry which studios are getting involved—and several are notably absent.
Per Variety, Sony Pictures Entertainment will not be releasing any trailers during the Super Bowl. This means audiences will have to continue to wait for an official first-look at Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which is scheduled for release on July 31, 2026.
The publication also reports that while Disney will be getting involved with The Mandalorian& Grogu(at least), there are no plans to debut a trailer for Avengers: Doomsday. The studio has already spent the past few months releasing first-look teasers for the project, and a full-length trailer is expected in the coming months.
The Odyssey will also reportedly be absent from this year's Super Bowl lineup, as Universal is already spending its budget on The Super Mario Galaxy Movie and Disclosure Day.
Among the studios that have not purchased Super Bowl spots altogether are Netflix, Amazon MGM, and Apple, according to Variety. This means trailers for Masters of the Universe, Outcome, and Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man aren't expected.
