Rebuilding Together Silicon Valley is holding a March 12 training for its Volunteer Ambassador Program. Volunteers raise awareness, share resources and connect residents with programs that support safe and healthy living in Santa Clara County.
Volunteer ambassadors are also called upon to build relationships in their communities, represent Rebuilding Together in a positive, welcoming way and support outreach by attending events and sharing resources .

ALMADEN/WILLOW GLEN>>The Metropolitan Education District (MetroED) has been recognized by the California School Public Relations Association (CalSPRA) for outstanding achievement in communications, earning statewide honors in the 2026 CalSPRA Excellence in Communications Awards program.
MetroED received recognition for two video communications projects: Metropolitan Education District High Tea Event Video and Metropolitan Education District SkillsUSA Board Livestreaming Video. Each will receive either an Award of Merit or an Award of Excellence, with final awards to be announced during the CalSPRA awards gala on March 13.
The CalSPRA awards recognize work that demonstrates strategic communication, creativity and impact in supporting public education.
The production crew for the high tea video, shot last year, included Sophia Warder, then a senior at Willow Glen High School, and Ash Wells, then a senior at Leland High School. The video was a collaborative effort between MetroED’s Communications Department and advanced students from Silicon Valley Career Technical Education (SVCTE) center’s Film and Video Production course.
