Tiny surf options this morning
Hello Friends,
Swell this morning was 1m at 9 seconds from the SSE. Tide was coming into the 1.45 m high at 1250. Surf was, as the pictures show, marginal at best. Most stretches were too small to surf in any meaningful way, but if you have a look around there were sort of rideable little bumps. Dial expectations to knee-high, and you’ll be well aligned with reality. Wind was very light to calm when I grabbed the snaps a little before 0700, but you can count on that changing as the day warms up to the expected 29°C high along the beaches and the NE’r kicks in.
The outlook you ask? Ah, the Mighty Goat has rolled out his weekly look ahead and I see no reason to disagree with his sagacious prognostications.
Go well one and all!

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge over northern part of the coast, bringing moderate to fresh northeasterly winds to the northern and central parts of the coast, while a trough extends from northwestern NSW through to the southern coast, bringing easterly winds to the southern part of the coast. Winds will tend northeasterly along the whole coast again from Sunday as the trough contracts away slightly from the coast, before another southerly change moves along southern and central parts of the coast Monday and Tuesday as the trough moves into the Tasman sea and a new ridge builds over the coast.
