Tottenham need £50m bid to sign Guglielmo Vicario replacement but deal looks possible
Tottenham may have just received a boost in their pursuit of a Guglielmo Vicario replacement who already plays in the Premier League.
It has been widely reported over the last few months that Inter Milan are plotting a summer move for Guglielmo Vicario.
According to reports from Italy, the Tottenham number one is keen on returning to Serie A at the end of this season after three years in London.
It was revealed by talkSPORT last week that Spurs had identified Sunderland’s Robin Roefs as their preferred option to take over the gloves from Vicario.

Roefs has had an exceptional first season in English football since his switch from NEC Nijmegen, with the Dutchman having the second-highest save percentage in English football.
Interestingly, Football Insider have now revealed that the reason Sunderland signed Melker Ellborg in January is because of what they expect to happen with Roefs.
The Black Cats are aware of the growing interest in their number one and have signed Ellborg from Malmo as part of their succession plan.
Sunderland realise that there is a ‘serious risk’ that they could lose the 23-year-old goalkeeper at the end of the season.
Spurs are expected to face a lot of competition for Roefs
Interestingly, Football Insider do not mention Tottenham Hotspur as one of the leading contenders for Roefs’ signature in the summer.
The report says that there is ‘extensive interest’ in the goalkeeper from the Premier League elite, with Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea leading the way.
Regis Le Bris’ men expect ‘huge offers’ for Roefs in the summer, possibly even £50m plus bids, which suggests that the goalkeeper will not come cheap.
