Bay Area News Group boys athlete of the week: GJ Hill-Thomas, O’Dowd

Bishop O’Dowd basketball player GJ Hill-Thomas is the Bay Area News Group’s boys athlete of the week for Jan. 26-31.

In online voting that ended at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Thomas placed first at 65.4%. Clayton Valley basketball player Vince Ellis finished second.

Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.

Hill-Thomas scored 15 points and grabbed four rebounds to lead Bishop O’Dowd to a 51-49 win over Berkeley.
