Thomas Frank says three Tottenham stars could return vs Man United, positive injury update
Thomas Frank has now issued an injury update on his Tottenham Hotspur squad ahead of their Premier League clash with Manchester United.
The winter window has since slammed shut, with Tottenham Hotspur doing little to strengthen their first-team squad on deadline day.
It is no secret that there was a desperate need for further reinforcement, given the injury crisis Thomas Frank is dealing with.
The Dane currently has more than ten first-team players sidelined, with no recognised right-back, Xavi Simons as the only number ten, and a clear need for at least one wide forward.
However, he will have to make do with the only additions secured this winter following the signings of Conor Gallagher and Souza.

Johan Lange has since revealed why Tottenham made those transfer decisions this winter following the window’s close, offering clarity to supporters.
Attention now turns to the pitch over the next five months, with Spurs’ first match since deadline day a trip to Old Trafford.
Frank still has several of his first-team stars unavailable, with the usual absentees remaining sidelined, including Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison, Mohammed Kudus, Ben Davies, Rodrigo Bentancur and Lucas Bergvall.
It remains touch and go for Micky van de Ven and Djed Spence, who could be available for Saturday’s early kick-off. Cristian Romero also went off early against Man City due to illness.
Meanwhile, the timeline for Kevin Danso’s return remains unclear, while Frank has revealed there is a possibility that Pedro Porro and Richarlison could return before the north London derby.
The Tottenham boss has now provided an update on his Spurs squad ahead of this weekend’s meeting with Manchester United.
Speaking to the official Tottenham channels, he said: “Most are ok. Micky Van de Ven trained today and is available for selection for Saturday. Djed Spence is getting closer and is touch-and-go. There is a chance he could be available. Cristian Romero, yes [he’s available].”
