Bella Hadid pulled over minutes before Adan Banuelos’ drunken arrest
Bella Hadid was reportedly pulled over by police in Texas just minutes before her cowboy beau Adan Banuelos was arrested for public intoxication early Saturday.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, the 29-year-old supermodel was stopped by cops at Gator’s Cantina in Weatherford, Texas, when the 37-year-old equestrian approached police in the parking lot.
Banuelos reportedly said he was worried about Hadid and had “followed her” back to the bar after she got home and realized she’d left her cellphone at Gator’s.
“Adan said that he and his friend got into the truck and drove after Isabella, and when they arrived at the bar, his friend went inside, and Adan walked over to the traffic stop,” reads the report.
As Banuelos spoke to law enforcement, an officer at the scene flagged his alleged “slurred” speech and “bloodshot and glassy” eyes, noting an “odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath.”
Banuelos allegedly copped to having “four” beers throughout the day but denied having driven himself to Gator’s. A field sobriety test determined he was indeed intoxicated.
After Banuelos refused to provide the name of the person he claimed drove him to the bar, he was arrested to avoid the risk of him getting behind the wheel, an officer wrote in the report.
Banuelos was briefly booked into the Parker County Jail before he was released on $386 bail. Meanwhile, his property and vehicle were handed over to Hadid, who was identified in the arresting report as Banuelos’ “girlfriend.”
The arrest came just days after Entertainment Tonight reported that the couple had ended their relationship after more than two years. An insider told the outlet Hadid was “processing the breakup” and doing her best to “distract herself since their split.”
It’s unclear exactly where the pair stand. They were spotted kissing and dancing at Gator’s just hours before the arrest, as seen in video obtained by TMZ.
