Travis Kelce Impresses Stadium Crowd With Incredible Golf Shot
The Super Bowl is only a few days away, and one player with three wins in the big game is making headlines away from the football field.
Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce is enjoying a relatively early offseason by his standards after the Chiefs' appearance in three consecutive Super Bowls, but his excellent play in another sport is attention-worthy.
The legendary tight end played in this year's edition of the WM Phoenix Open Pro-Am in Arizona. Kelce made his first appearance at the event in years with the Chiefs out of the NFL title hunt, and he electrified the crowd with a great shot on the 16th hole.

Kelce landed his tee shot just a few feet from the pin, then tapped the ball in for a birdie that would be impressive on the PGA Tour. The crowd in Phoenix seemed to agree, as they greeted Kelce with roars of applause from the course's infamous stadium section.

Kelce is one of several athletes in this year's Pro-Am, joining former football greats Larry Fitzgerald and Emmitt Smith. Olympic champion Michael Phelps is also playing in the tournament this year, along with baseball stars Cal Raleigh, Alex Bregman and Mookie Betts.
"Let’s go!!!!!," said Kelce's teammate and frequent golf partner Patrick Mahomes, watching Kelce's event on television.

Mahomes, an avid golfer, suffered a season-ending knee injury with the Chiefs this year. He's competed with and against Kelce in various golf events over the years, including teaming up to defeat Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson in "The Match."
Kelce has a busy year ahead of him, but he's off to an impressive start with his play on the golf course. The three-time Super Bowl champion is still mulling over whether to return for another NFL season, and he's managing life in the ever-increasing spotlight after proposing to Taylor Swift.
What's Next for Travis Kelce in 2026?
Kelce elected to return for at least one more year after the Chiefs' failed bid for the first Super Bowl three-peat in NFL history. The team's hopes of advancing to the big game yet again ended early this year, as they were eliminated from playoff contention during the regular season.
The veteran finished his 13th NFL campaign with 851 receiving yards and five touchdowns, a step above his 2024 numbers but well below the contributions he made during the prime of his career.
Kelce's increased popularity and celebrity during his relationship with Taylor Swift has also opened up opportunities outside of football - opportunities that Kelce would have a lot more time for if he chooses to retire.
The future Hall of Famer has yet to make a decision on whether he'll end his football career, but after Wednesday's performance on the golf course, he can be confident about his skills in at least one other sport.
