Police search for Swanley man after assault at Tanyard Bar and Kitchen in Bexley High Street
A police manhunt is underway after a victim had to undergo reconstructive surgery following a violent assault.
Just after midnight on Sunday (February 1), a man smashed a glass in the face of another man at the Tanyard Bar and Kitchen in Bexley High Street.
The suspect then left and Met Police officers and London Ambulance Service paramedics were called.
The victim, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital, where he had to undergo reconstructive surgery.
Police are now looking to speak to Swanley resident Billy Clarke, 29, in connection with the incident, and have released an image of him to assist with the appeal.
Detective Chief Inspector Mark Rodgers, who is leading the investigation, said: “This was a very serious assault, in which the victim suffered appalling injuries.
“We believe Billy Clarke may have information that could assist our investigation, and are appealing for anyone who knows of his whereabouts to come forward.”
