Nancy Guthrie Ransom Note Update: Some Details From Inside Note Revealed as Police Confirm They Shared with Savannah Guthrie
TMZ’s ransom note story shocked the Internet yesterday when they published a piece saying they received demands regarding Savannah Guthrie‘s mom, Nancy, 84, who is currently missing.
CBS News got more info, including that they did know about the presence of a note, which asked for “a large sum of money.”
The FBI is analyzing the note currently, and they did share the note with Savannah and the Guthrie family.
The Pima County Sheriff said the “entire note” could be deemed credible.

It contained details about what she was wearing the night of the alleged abduction.
An Arizona news station also received the ransom note earlier in the week and agreed not to publish it after giving it to police. However, the next day, TMZ did decide to publish details.
The Sheriff added that TMZ publishing the note details could have compromised the case.
The Sheriff’s Office told Just Jared: “We are aware of reports circulating about possible ransom note(s) related to the investigation into Nancy Guthrie. All tips and leads are being taken seriously and are forwarded directly to our detectives, who are coordinating with the FBI.”
