Zayn Malik Announces 5th Album 'Konnakol' & New Single 'Die For Me' - Find Out the Meaning!

Zayn Malik is ready to release his fifth studio album, and it’s called Konnakol!

The record will be released on April 17 via Mercury Records, and the lead single “Die for Me” will be released on Friday (February 6).

The album is described in the official release as his “most culturally inspired project to date.”

The accompanying album artwork features Zayn merged with a snow leopard, imagery first teased at the end of his Vegas shows, described as “a profound symbol in South Asia” that showcases “how deeply his heritage has inspired the record.”

Zayn explained the meaning behind the album’s title: “It’s that time again, I have been lucky enough to make a fifth studio album… KONNAKOL in its definition is the act of creating percussive sounds with one’s voice but what it means to me lies somewhere much deeper. It is a sound that holds the reverberation of a time before words existed. I have always drawn on my heritage for inspiration since I first started making my own music, this album is a development of that understanding, knowing more now than ever, who I am, where I come from and where I intend to go.”
