February is the ultimate month to sign up for Peacock

We know it can be hard to decide which streaming services you actually need, and you definitely don't need every app all the time. In fact, we think one of the best ways to save on streaming is to only subscribe monthly as needed.

That said, February 2026 is the month to sign up for Peacock if you don't already have a subscription. In addition to the streaming service's solid usual slate of offerings, Peacock will host three tentpole events this month: Super Bowl LX on February 8, the Winter Olympics from February 6 to 22, and the NBA All-Star Game on February 15. The streaming service will even host a special 4K All Day feature on February 8, where both the Olympics and Super Bowl will be available live in 4K resolution for a day.

The Olympic coverage is reason enough to subscribe since Peacock offers a comprehensive hub with live streams across all events. NBC will have you covered for the big events, but if you're hoping to watch everything live (which often won't be in primetime since the Olympics are in Italy this year, six hours ahead of the East Coast) or catch some more obscure sporting events that might not get broadcast coverage, Peacock is the way to go. The streaming service also has a robust on-demand offering of Olympic events, so you can catch up whenever you'd like if something is airing while you're at work. There's even a multiview feature (similar to what ESPN offers its paid subscribers), so you can watch multiple events at once.

Peacock offers two main tiers of service: Peacock Premium for $11 a month (or $110 a year) and Peacock Premium Plus for $17 a month (or $170 a year). Premium has ad-supported on-demand content, while Premium Plus features ad-free on-demand content and a 24/7 live stream of NBC. However, this month's marquee events that we've mentioned above are all available through the Premium tier, even if they air concurrently on NBC, so you don't need to shell out $17 a month unless you really want to. Ads will appear on live content in all tiers. It's worth noting that there's also a cheaper budget tier, the $8 a month Peacock Select, but it doesn't offer live events and sports, so we don't recommend it for this month.

Even without this month's special events, Peacock ranks among the best streaming services we've tested. It's a must-have service for fans of NBC and Bravo shows. In addition to currently airing seasons of broadcast shows, the streaming service carries extensive back catalogs of past episodes of flagship series, such as "The Office," "Parks and Recreation," and the "The Real Housewives" franchise. The streaming service also offers some fantastic originals, like "Ponies," "Poker Face," and "Long Bright River." In addition to a solid movie line-up, it also has one of the most impressive original reality TV catalogs out of all of the main streaming services.

These three tentpole events aren't the only new content coming to Peacock this month. Other NBA games are available through the service (both NBC match-ups like Sunday Night Basketball and some Peacock exclusive games). Six Nations, the European rugby tournament running from February 5 through March 14, will be available to stream live in full on Peacock.

There's also new non-sports content on Peacock this month. "The Voice" Season 29 returns to NBC on February 23, so new episodes will be available on the service the next day (or you can watch them live with Peacock Premium Plus). "House of Villains" Season 3 premieres on February 26. In addition to next-day new episodes from ongoing NBC and Bravo series, subscribers will also get the remainder of the fourth season of "The Traitors (US)." And for those who can't get enough "Traitors," Season 4 of the UK edition will finally hit Peacock on February 26.

The streaming service routinely offers an impressive slate of films that are always rotating in and out. This month, Peacock will get popular flicks including "Anchorman: The Legend Of Ron Burgundy," "Challengers," "Conclave," the "Fifty Shades" trilogy, and "Trolls," among others.

It's safe to say that Peacock is a cord-cutting essential this month, but if you're still hesitant to pony up full price for 30 days, we recommend giving one of the Apple TV and Peacock bundles a try. There's a $15 a month version with Peacock Premium and a $20 a month version with Peacock Premium Plus. Both bundles offer significant savings compared to the price you'd pay if you subscribed to each service separately this month (a total of $24 or $30).

You can explore all plans directly on the Peacock website or check out our full guide to the Peacock streaming service.
