Jonah Hill Looks Unrecognizable in First Look at His Acting Comeback
Apple TV+ has released a first look at new comedy Outcome, which stars Jonah Hill in his long-awaited return to Hollywood—and the actor has a totally new look.
After taking several years away from the spotlight, Hill returns as an actor, director, and writer on Outcome. The upcoming dark comedy follows Keanu Reeves' character Reef Hawk, a beloved Hollywood actor who faces a career-ending blackmail scandal. Hill plays his crisis lawyer Ira, who encourages to make amends with those who could be looking to bring him down.
Jonah Hill Looks Totally Different in New Role
You'd be forgiven for not recognizing Hill in Apple TV's first-look images for Outlook; the actor is sporting a shaved head and thick gray beard, completely unlike his typical look. The project also marks one of Hill's first on-screen appearances since his major weight loss transformation over the past few years.
In addition to acting in Outcome, Hill also directed the film and co-wrote the screenplay alongside Eza Woods. It marks Hill's third outing as a director, following 2018's Mid90s and the 2022 documentaryStutz.
Speaking at Apple TV's press day in Santa Monica on Tuesday, Hill described his film as "a metaphor for what we all go through living on social media. Social media has made us obsessed what people we don’t know think of us, instead of caring about what the people who know us best think of us."
Interestingly, Hill isn't the only person making a long-awaited comeback in Outcome. The film marks a major milestone for Cameron Diaz, who recently came out of retirement to great success for Netflix's Back in Action. Apple TV's new film is the perfect opportunity for her to replicate this success.
Outcome's larger cast includes Martin Scorsese, Susan Lucci, Laverne Cox, David Spade, Atsuko Okatsuka, Roy Wood Jr, Kaia Gerber, and Ivy Wolk. The film will be released exclusively on Apple TV+ on April 10, 2026.
