Ayush Medical Officer Arrested for Bribery in Chatra
The Anti-Corruption Bureau in Hazaribag has arrested Dr Ram Prakash Verma, a district Ayush medical officer. He was apprehended while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000. The bribe was reportedly demanded from a contractual doctor for clearing her pending salary. The doctor had alleged a monthly demand for clearing her salary bills. Legal action is underway.
