Bad Bunny Gets Endorsements from Two Big NFL Stars Ahead of Super Bowl Halftime Show
From the moment Bad Bunny was announced as Apple Music’s Halftime Show performer for Super Bowl LX, he’s been met with conflicting opinions from the public at large. Some aren’t fans of his music or don’t know it at all, to be invested in his performance. There’s so much pushback to Bad Bunny, in fact, that Kid Rock is leading the charge for an alternative Halftime Show.
Despite the naysayers, many people can’t wait to watch the Grammy winner blaze the stage. Bad Bunny has a huge fanbase. He was the most globally streamed artist on Spotify in 2025 and is no stranger to the Billboard charts.
Also blowing wind in Bad Bunny’s sails are the recent words of NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. During his annual state of the league address, he stated:
“Bad Bunny is, and I think that was demonstrated last night [during the Grammy ceremony], one of the great artists in the world, and that’s one of the reasons we chose him. But the other reason is he understood the platform he was on, and that this platform is to use to unite people and to be able to bring people together with their creativity, with their talents, and to be able to use this moment to do that.”
Goodell isn’t the only big name in football endorsing Bad Bunny’s Halftime Show. During the press tour for the Super Bowl, a certain starting quarterback for one of the teams competing and his defensive end were sure to stand behind the global superstar.

Speaking to the press ahead of the big game, the starting quarterback of the Seattle Seahawks, Sam Darnold, had nothing but good things to say about Bad Bunny and his upcoming performance. Darnold stated:
“I love his [Bad Bunny] music. So yeah, it’s great to have him perform at the Super Bowl. I wish, I wish that I could see it, but I’m afraid I’ll be getting ready for the second half at that moment.”
Echoing similar endorsing sentiments, defensive end for the Seahawks, DeMarcus Lawrence, shared with journalists:
“We have so many cultures and ethnic backgrounds in America, that I think it’s time to start embracing all of them and bringing them in the fold. And you know, that’s what really makes America great.”
Anonymous Poll Among NFL Players Claims Only 58.6% of Players Like the Idea of Bad Bunny Performing?
Darnold and Lawrence’s words come on the heels of the recent report from The Athletic that an anonymous poll among NFL players states that only 58.6% of respondents answered “yes” when asked, “Do you like the NFL’s selection of Bad Bunny for the Super Bowl Halftime Show?”
However, when you pay closer attention to the numbers from the survey, only 58 people answered this question. Considering there are roughly 1,696 active players in the league, that means that only about 0.03% of active NFL players answered this poll question. So it’s likely Bad Bunny may have way more support than reflected.
