Cristian Romero has full backing of Tottenham fans after his transfer window rant
Tottenham captain Cristian Romero did not hold back in his latest social media post about the club, and fans are right behind him.
The transfer window has closed and Spurs fans are fuming that the club has failed to sufficiently strengthen the squad.
Romero posted a not-so-subtle dig aimed at the hierarchy at Tottenham for leaving the squad thin in a time of crisis.
With only two signings, it’s hard to disagree with his comments, too. And judging by the reaction from fans online, the Spurs skipper has his finger on the pulse.

Tottenham fans love Cristian Romero’s honesty
Romero’s post clearly motivated fans to speak their own mind, with the general consensus being that the captain cares more than anyone about this football club and that he’s right to demand more from the board.
One fan wrote: “Do you guys remember when people thought he was bigger than us and didn’t care about us at all?”
Another said: “Fair play to him! Keep calling out the club, our captain.”
A third added: “This man actually loves our club and we take it for granted.”
On that topic, some supporters seemingly worried that Romero will get so frustrated that he will eventually move on.
One said: “Romero is a World Cup winner. He deserves better than this.”
Meanwhile, others sympathised with Romero and appreciated his honesty. “He was waiting all day just like the rest of us,” one added. “Only person at the club who speaks the truth,” another commented.

Will Romero leave Spurs?
Cristian Romero has not been afraid to speak his mind over the past few months. That’s a good thing, in many ways, and hopefully the board pay attention.
There will come a point where that passion turns into genuine disillusionment. If the board don’t match Romero’s ambition in the summer, we could well see him move on.
Real Madrid are known to want Romero, with an £87m bid in the offing. Let’s just hope Spurs do enough to placate the skipper over the next few months, both on and off the pitch.
