Felix Passlack Signs For Hibs!
We are delighted to confirm the permanent signing of German wing-back Felix Passlack from VfL Bochum!
The 27-year-old joins David Gray’s side for an undisclosed fee, penning a three-and-a-half-year contract to keep him at the Club until June 2029.
Passlack, who can play anywhere on the right flank, becomes our fourth signing of the January transfer window - sealing the move on Deadline Day.
The experienced defender made his professional debut for Borussia Dortmund aged 17 and became the youngest German scorer in UEFA Champions League history when he scored for the German giants against Legia Warsawa in 2016.
Across his time with Borussia Dortmund, Hoffenheim and Bochum, he has made 97 Bundesliga and 10 UEFA Champions League appearances in total.
Passlack also has experience playing in England and the Netherlands during loan spells with Norwich City and Fortuna Sittard. Our latest recruit will wear the number 25 shirt for the Hibees.
Hibernian FC Head Coach, David Gray commented: “We're delighted to bring a player of Felix's calibre and experience into the building.
"Felix is a tenacious, attack-minded player that can play anywhere on the right-hand side.
“He comes with a great pedigree – having played at a very high level – and will be a strong addition to the squad.”
Hibernian FC Sporting Director, Malky Mackay, added: "We are all really excited to bring a player of Felix's experience and talent to Hibernian Football Club.
"He is a player that has been on our radar for some time now, so we are delighted to get the deal over the line and secure Felix on a long-term contract.
"He is a talented player with a great attitude and is exactly the type of character we are striving to bring into the building. He is another fantastic professional to add to the group and he is another role model for our younger players.”
