Supreme Court Halts Jamshedpur Illegal Building Demolitions: Interim Stay Granted
The Supreme Court has halted the demolition of 24 illegal Jamshedpur buildings, a drive initiated by the JNAC following a 2018 petition. Many structures, particularly commercial ones in Bistupur and Sakchi, were built deviating from approved plans, with basements illegally converted. Notices have been issued, and a detailed hearing is scheduled for March 9.
