By Burnett Munthali
Vice President Jane Ansah spoke at Christ Citadel Church in Area 25 on Sunday, February 1, 2026, sharing words of encouragement and praise with the congregation.
She began by acknowledging the church’s perseverance despite facing challenges and criticism, referencing a time when the church was nicknamed “Tippex Church”.
The Vice President expressed her gratitude for the church’s prayers, mentioning that she has been blessed to have their support through various times, including the 2025 campaign.
She then led the congregation in singing a praise song, emphasizing the name of Jesus as higher than any other name.
Ansah highlighted the importance of studying scripture and understanding its relevance to everyday life, citing Psalm 119 verses 9-16.
She stressed that the words in the scripture are meant for everyone, regardless of age or position.
The Vice President also addressed a recent fake news story circulating on social media, alleging that she was taking a large sum of money to the UK for a holiday.
She expressed disappointment that people didn’t take the time to fact-check the story, pointing out that Ethiopian Airways doesn’t even operate first class, making the claim clearly false.
Ansah’s message was one of hope and perseverance, encouraging the congregation to continue trusting in God’s plan.
She wished the church a blessed 2026, acknowledging their prayers and support over the years.
The Vice President’s visit to Christ Citadel Church was a powerful reminder of the importance of faith and community, and her words of encouragement will likely resonate with many.
