LeBron James Extends His Own All-Time NBA All-Star Record
The NBA All-Star Game is scheduled for February 15 in Los Angeles, and one of the city's brightest stars will take a familiar place in the festivities.
For the 22nd consecutive time, LeBron James has been selected as an NBA All-Star, joining some of the best players in the league in what's likely the twilight of his career.
James, the oldest player in the NBA at 41, will compete for Team USA in the new All-Star Game format. For the first time ever, the All-Star Game will feature top American players against a selection of the best players from around the world.

LeBron 'Humbled' By This Year's Selection
James commented on his selection as an All-Star reserve after his Lakers lost to the New York Knicks on Sunday night, calling the selection by the league's coaches "super humbling."
"The coaches voted, right, so mad respect to the coaches and them seeing the way I'm still playing at this latter stage of my career," the four-time NBA champion added.
"And to be able to be an All-Star means a lot to my family, people that have been following my career, my LeBron faithful. They've been following my journey and it's always rewarding just from a humbling standpoint to be able to be rewarded for what you put your work into."
"You think about a star player, their prime is their All-NBA, All-Star years," said Lakers head coach JJ Redick.
"And you know, he's basically had a 20-plus-year prime. It's kind of unheard of. It is unheard of, uncharted, whatever you want to call it. I mean, it's incredible. It's a testament to the work that he puts in."
James will be placed on one of the two eight-person American rosters at the All-Star Game under the new format. This year, two teams of American players will compete against a third team comprised of international stars. The three-teams will play a round robin tournament, and the two teams with the best record will meet in the final.

LeBron Joins Top All-Star Reserves
Selected as one of the Western Conference's reserve players, James will be joined by Anthony Edwards (Timberwolves), Jamal Murray (Nuggets), Chet Holmgren (Thunder), Kevin Durant (Rockets), Devin Booker (Suns) and Deni Avdija (Trail Blazers). Murray, Holmgren and Avdija are all making their All-Star Game debuts.
The Eastern Conference reserves included Donovan Mitchell (Cavaliers), Jalen Johnson (Hawks), Karl-Anthony Towns (Knicks), Pascal Siakam (Pacers), Norman Powell (Heat), Scottie Barnes (Raptors) and Jalen Duren (Pistons). Johnson, Powell and Duren are all set to make their All-Star debuts later this month.
Fans can tune in to this year's All-Star Game - the 75th in league history - on February 15, and the game will be broadcast on NBC for the first time since 2002.
