Winter Duathlon Series – Round 3
Round Three Report and Results
A welcome return to our winter duathlon series after the short break, which was enjoyed by our 16 members and 8 guests. How can one describe the weather conditions this morning at Betteshanger Park… we had rain, then we didn’t have rain then guess what we had more rain, but on the upside it was not to cold or surprisingly there was very little wind blowing which is always good.
Congratulations to Pete Hogben who was our overall winner in a time of 00:49:15 and the first lady home was Annette Nixon in 01:02:03. Well done to our guest winners Dougie Tulett who finished in 00:51:31 and a great performance from Anna Thomsen in 00:56:08
Thank you to our wonderful guests for supporting our duathlons especially Alice (Dougie’s sister) who has been waiting to become old enough to join us, we also welcomed Anna Thomsen for the first time and thank you Terry Foreman (ATC) Chris Downes (Plucky Triers) and Louisa Clifford for your continued support.
Thank you to our marshals this morning who were: Gloria Riley, David Simcox, Catherine Chapman-Jones, Jeya Paramasivam, Sue Bolton and not forgetting Dawn Lambourn who had a very important job of holding the umbrella over me when I was recording the times in the rain!
