Team News: Sky Sports Cup Semi-Final
Joelle Murray makes three changes to her Hibs Women starting XI for our Sky Sports Cup Semi-Final against Glasgow City this afternoon.
The Hibees return to Meadowbank Stadium one week after defeating Hamilton Academical 5-0 in league action on home turf.
Noa Schumacher, who kept her seventh clean sheet of the 2025/26 campaign last Sunday against Hamilton, keeps her place in between the sticks.
Our backline remains unchanged once more as Lauren Doran-Barr, Scarlett Herron, Ellis Notley, and Rachael Boyle all line-up once more together in defence, while Ciara Grant stays in midfield.
Our first alteration from last weekend sees Kirsten Reilly replace Jess Fitzgerald. The central midfielder missed out against the Accies due to her league suspension but returns for today’s semi-final clash.
The second switch sees Rosie Livingstone return to the starting line-up after netting off the bench last time out. She replaced Hannah Jordan, who drops out the XI after making her first Hibernian league start following a tough spell with injuries since the summer.
Eilidh Adams, who netted twice against Hamilton, and Tegan Bowie, who nabbed a tenth league assist to help open the scoring in the five-goal victory, keep their spots in the front line.
The third and final change allows for Kathleen McGovern to be reintroduced to the XI for the first time since November. After missing five matches due to injury, the striker scored on her return off the bench against Rangers a fortnight ago before gaining more minutes against Hamilton. She replaces Kirsty Morrison in attack.
Outgoing trio Fitzgerald, Jordan and Morrison are all listed as substitutes and will provide quality options off the bench.
Rowena Armitage deputises for Schumacher in goal, while versatile defender Stacey Papadopoulos and midfield prospect Jess Ramsay are also on the bench.
There is positive injury news as a number of previously unavailable players are named amongst the substitutes for today’s match.
Defenders Siobhan Hunter and Linzi Taylor return to the matchday squad after missing three and eight matches, respectively. Attacking midfielder Milly Boughton is also restored to the team after a spell on the sidelines.
The match comes too soon for wing-back Caley Gibb and forward Tiree Burchill, who both remain out.
