How Thomas Frank’s home record compares to Postecoglou and other Tottenham managers

Tottenham have endured a terrible season under Thomas Frank and the Dane is racking up an abysmal record in his role.

It’s safe to say replacing Ange Postecoglou with Frank has not gone to plan. The former Brentford man has struggled at Spurs and it’s looking like he could be out of the door before too long.

The Lilywhites are without a win in the league in 2026 and are sitting in 14th place as we head into February. Now, it seems only Champions League progress can grant him a stay of execution.

Tottenham chiefs are expected to give Frank time to turn things around, but the fans are desperate to see a change in the dugout sooner rather than later.

Thomas Frank has the worst home record of any Tottenham manager

It’s not hard to see why the fans are so unhappy with Thomas Frank and his tenure at Tottenham. We already took a look at Frank’s record at Spurs in terms of points-per-game, and it makes for awful reading.

In fact, he is the worst permanent manager in the ENIC era at Tottenham in that regard, and he’s also the holder of another unwanted record. Turns out, Frank has the worst win percentage at home of any Spurs manager in the Premier League.

From 11 home games, Frank has won just two to produce a shockingly low 18% win rate. Jacques Santini is only marginally higher at 20%, with one win in five.

Frank lags behind the likes of Ange Postecoglou, David Pleat, and George Graham who all registered 50% success rates at home, while Ryan Mason outdoes them all at 57% from his seven home games. That’s the same as Jose Mourinho, who won 16 of his 28 matches at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Higher up the ladder we have Martin Jol (59%), Nuno Espirito Santo (60%), Harry Redknapp (64%) and Mauricio Pochettino (64%). Antonio Conte is second with 20 wins from 28 home games (71%) but it’s surprisingly Tim Sherwood who leads the way with 73% (albeit, that was eight wins in just 11 matches).

How much more time will Thomas Frank get?

Tottenham have an incredibly tough run of games coming up in the league which will surely determine whether Frank stays or goes. There’s a very good chance he doesn’t make it to March given there are games against Man City, Man United, Newcastle and Arsenal on the horizon.

We could even see him sacked if the game against Frankfurt doesn’t go to plan and Spurs end up struggling to qualify for the Champions League knockout stages.

If we assume the Spurs hierarchy are reluctant to sack Frank, you’d probably be looking at the North London derby as the real deciding factor in all of this. You can forgive a lot, but the fans and the board would not take kindly to another embarrassing defeat to the Gunners, especially on home soil.
